Tom Monaghan, the founder of Domino's Pizza Inc, officially launched Domino's Pizza Malaysia in September 1997.

1998

The Crunchy Thin Crust™ pizza was introduced storewide.

Domino's Malaysia's commissary was recognized in the Annual Domino's International Audit as the Best Commissary in Asia Pacific.
 
Domino's Malaysia embarks on its first community programme, the 'Domino's Points for Pizza Programme' in support of education. Domino's partners in this 6-month programme were Hewlett Packard and Insoft.

Domino's Malaysia holds the first Fastest Pizza Maker Competition.
     
1999
Launch of Domino's delivery number "1300-888-333"

In December, Domino's expanded its operations to the state of Johor with the opening of 3 stores concurrently.

Domino's Malaysia embarks on another 6-month charity campaign and aids two charitable homes, Rumah Ozanam and Montfort Boys Town through the Domino's Community Support Programme by raising a total of RM20,000 for both homes.
 
   
Keeping true to their commitment to work and road safety, Domino's Malaysia organized the first Domino's Safety Rodeo to instill sound driving habits and knowledge in their delivery riders. Tan Sri Dato' Lee Lam Thye, Chairman of NIOSH officiated the event.

The 'Domino's Millennium Gold Card' launched in November. The card offers a Buy 1 Free 1 privilege.

Launch of our first pasta-based side item, "Spaghetti Chicken Bolognese"

Launch of our first dessert side item, Domino's Premium Ice Cream, available in Chocolate and Vanilla flavors.

2 Uniquely Malaysian pizza flavors, "Spicy Sambal" and "Flaming Tuna" were introduced featuring a sambal sauce in place of tomato pizza sauce.

2001
In July Domino's opens Gurney Plaza in "The Pearl of the Orient", Penang.

A second "dessert" was added to the local menu with the introduction of "CinnaStix" - a tasty dessert treat of cinnamon bread sticks.

The latest oven-hot sensation "Chicken Lasagna" is introduced.

2002
Banana Kaya Dessert, a delectable offering of kaya, banana slices and icing sugar on a pizza crust, is introduced. A product uniquely Malaysian.

Domino's launches Malaysia's first fastfood on line ordering portal (recognized by the Malaysian Book of Records).

2004
Double Decker Crust is launched - a base of 2 Crunchy Thin Crust ™ with a layer of creamy cheddar cheese sauce sandwiched inbetween.

2005
Domino's partners with Dato' George Ting resulting in rapid store expansion.

Domino's rolls out flavored crusts, for limited-time-only promotions, nationally for the first time in company history.

Domino's arrives in Seremban with the opening of its Yam Tuan store.

2006
Domino's opens its second store in Penang, Taman Inderawasih Prai.

Syed Zubair Abdul Hamid, a Domino's pizza employee sets a new record for "Fastest Pizza Maker", making 3 Large pizzas in 69 seconds. (Recognized by the Malaysian Book of Records).

2007
Domino's celebrates it's 10 Year Anniversary.

Domino's Express Card was launched in January, replacing the Millenium Goldcard, this card offers a Buy 1 Pizza Free 1 pizza privilege.

The New York crust was introduced to the Malaysian market. This featured the very first extra-large 15-inch pizza by an international franchise pizza brand in Malaysia.

2009
Domino’s launched its "Incredible Meals" from RM10 per person.

Domino’s unveiled an all new pizza crust, the Puff Crust. This was the first puff pastry pizza in the country.

The Xtra Cheesy Deal was introduced as part of Domino’s Incredible Meal deals, featuring three sets of cheesy dishes, as well as the new Domino’s Cheese Dotz.

As the official movie promotional partner of Terminator Salvation, the fourth installment of the Terminator movie franchise, Domino’s introduced three specially designed value-for-money Incredible Terminator Meals.
 
2010  
Domino’s Pizza Malaysia received the 2010 Gold Franny Award, a distinguished Achievement Award of the International Franchise Association at the Domino’s 50th Anniversary Worldwide Rally Las Vegas.

Domino’s introduced the Creamy Custard Puff dessert, a combination of rich creamy custard, sprinkled with sweet cinnamon and baked in a puff pastry triangle.

The new Crazy Chicken Crunchies was introduced, made from tender chicken breast marinated in authentic Tom Yam spice and paired with a tangy cheese dip.

 

Declaring itself as the ‘The Ultimate Pizza Delivery for Football Fans’, Domino’s Pizza launched its Football Carnival microsite in conjunction with the 2010 World Cup, offering Malaysian football fans a comprehensive gateway to experience the upcoming football extravaganza.

The Football Carnival Final Playoff was the finale to the Domino’s “Nobody’s Crazier for Football Fans than Us” campaign. Held in conjunction with the recent world football extravaganza, the campaign featured attractive promotions, desirable limited edition collectible shot glass featuring 9 countries. A total of nine weekly winners also showed up for the Final Play-off event. The Grand Prize winner bagged herself two free tickets to South Africa worth a total of RM15,000.

“Domino’s Fantasy Football” was officially launched, allowing participants to create their own fantasy football team by virtually “buying” players who play during the 2010/11 EPL season with points earned based on the actual players’ performances on the pitch.

In conjunction with the summer blockbuster The Green Hornet, Domino’s gave fans a chance to bag the Grand Prize of a pair of tickets to The Green Hornet Premiere Red Carpet event in Singapore with Domino’s Packed with a Punch contest.

Domino’s Great Pizza Service (GPS) pizza tracker system was introduced at all Domino’s Pizza outlets in Malaysia. This first-of-its-kind system in Malaysia enables customers to track their pizzas at every stage of the delivery process.

Domino’s Pizza held a special session for Syed Zubair bin Abdul Hamid to showcase his pizza making prowess. The talented 28-year-old District Manager of Domino’s Pizza Malaysia represented Asia Pacific beating Singapore, Japan, India, Korea and Taiwan in Domino’s World’s Fastest Pizza Maker Finals in Las Vegas, USA held in conjunction with Domino’s 50th Year World Wide Rally and competed against 12 fastest pizza makers from 9,000 Domino’s stores across the globe.

Domino’s Pizza held a unique annual initiative called the Domino’s Pizza “Secrets of Super Students” Seminars, which teaches students a multitude of studying techniques and self-improvement tips. The programme is part of Domino’s Supports Schools Programme (DSS), which is a comprehensive initiative designed to complement Malaysia’s education system.

Domino’s opened its first store in the state of Perak, in the town of Ipoh on September 13, 2010.

A brand new commissary, test kitchen and one-stop call centre was completed to enable Domino’s Pizza Malaysia to provide enhanced quality and better service to customers.

2011
Domino’s marked a milestone for its presence in Malaysia with the opening of its 50th outlet in Gunung Rapat, Ipoh, Perak.

Domino’s Pizza visited the children of Sinthamani Divine Life Ashram, bringing a traditional Chinese Lion Dance and pizza party to celebrate Chinese New Year with the residents. This trip was part of the brand’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort to bring cheer and joy to the less fortunate during Malaysia’s major festive celebrations.

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia received the prestigious 2011 Gold Franny Award for operational excellence from Domino’s International for the second consecutive year.

Domino’s introduced the Chocolate Lava Cake, a gourmet dessert with a melted chocolate centre served hot and fresh from the oven.

Domino’s opened its first store in Melaka on January 31. The second Domino’s Pizza store in Melaka was opened in February 2011. In May, a family carnival was held with a fun-filled day of activities for adults and children alike and amazing deals for customers all day.

Domino’s 60th store was opened in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.

   
Domino’s Pizza launched its First Class pizza range in partnership with 20th Century Fox, in conjunction with the summer blockbuster X-Men: First Class. Domino’s unveiled three First Class pizzas, namely Tuna Extreme, Chicken Perfection and Prawn Passion. Domino’s also held a special X-Men: First Class Charity Screening to raise funds for Agathians Shelter, a charitable foundation, and treated Domino’s Pizza Super Fans to a First Class treat at the Platinum Suite of Cathay Cineleisure at the Curve.
